When your Excise Tax Determination and Collection Service is turned on, you will be notified if/when Token of Trust sees products in a checkout it does not recognize. When product metadata is missing we cannot provide excise taxes.
By default Token of Trust lets the purchase go through AND sends an immediate email notification with a link to provide us information on that product.
