Shopify Precheckout Verification now falls back to post checkout
Shopify precheckout verification is the process of attempting to verify a user before they reach the checkout page. This is done via a popup modal that appears when the user clicks 'checkout' in which the user enters their information, photos, etc, and is able to proceed to the checkout page once they are verified. Refer to tot-test-store-2.myshopify.com for a working example of a precheckout Shopify store.
There are known issues with shopify precheckout verification, as it can be bypassed (such as directly changing the url path to /checkout). While there is not much we can currently do in that case, we have just added the feature where if a user does indeed try to bypass precheckout verification, they will fallback to our post checkout verification automatically (an email/sms invite sent to them to get verified).
