How to complete a customer data erasure request
We can get customer data erasure requests from a couple different ways, such as an email from a customer, or from Shopify when a vendor requests a customer data erasure on their storefront. This guide will work for both scenarios.

When a Shopify vendor selects "Erase Personal Data", it sends an email to the support team (support@tokenoftrust.com). It will do this for every individual customer that had that button pressed.

Given this access token, copy the entire access token to your clipboard, and go to https://app.tokenoftrust.com/admin/accessToken/ . Paste the email into the field, and open the access token. Once it is open, in the data you should find either the customer's email or the customer's phone number . We will use that to delete this customers data
Head to the following page to delete the customer data:
- For email based deletion: https://app.tokenoftrust.com/admin/userLookup/emailLookup
- for phone number based deletion: https://app.tokenoftrust.com/admin/userLookup/phoneLookup
Paste the email/phone number in the field and press 'view profile'.
If you can an error similar to below, then that means we don't have any data stored for that email/phone number. If the customer has a phone number, try looking up that, otherwise there is nothing else to do for them.

If it does pull up a profile, then that means there is data to delete

Click the Admin dropdown in the top right

Click delete this user, and complete the process to fully delete the user from our system.
